El pasado 24 de Setiembre del 2011, Ica se convirtió en sede principal del 7mo OPEN PERU INTERNACIONAL, pues delegaciones de todo el país (Perú) y del extranjero se dieron cita a tal importante evento que marco una pauta escencial de las artes marciales en Ica, pues no solo se compitió en Karate, sino se sumaron escuelas de Kung Fu, Taekwondo, Kempo, entre otras. Las instalaciones del coliseo cerrado de Ica estuvo lleno de alegria y goce de familias y competidores, pues estuvieron como invitados de lujo y fiscalizadores (árbitros) la selección de Argentina, dirigidos por el maestro Ruben Cabezas , quien en coordinación con el profesor Jesus Peña Tume, hicieron posible un evento de tal magnitud.
Okinawa Perú, en la actualidad se ha convertido en las organizaciones lideres de masiva participación en eventos de Karate y Artes Marciales por un estilo único y particular de organización lleno de confraternidad entre directivos, profesores y alumnos, por ello cuentan con el respaldo de cientos de escuelas a nivel nacional e internacional para la realización de estos eventos.PREMIACION.- Fueron medallas y trofeos de primer nivel de acuerdo al arte marcial y categoria de competición.
CERTIFICACION.- Todos los competidores recibieron certificación internacional que les permite asistir a eventos selectivos en la Argentina, en convenio con la organización AIKASAM.
